Socio-linguistics, Discourse analysis, digital media, diversity, entertainment media, academic writing, literacies, linguistic landscaping, multimodality
After finishing my BA of online culture cum laude I am now following a research masters program at Tilburg University and Radboud University Nijmegen. My personal research interests mainly fall in the field of sociolinguistics specifically they look at discourse analysis, digital/entertainment media and diversity. My personal wide linguistic background is a leading driver in researching inequality, literacies, digital platforms, sociolinguistics and the roles that entertainment media can play. Outside of qualitative methods I try to create empirical validity by triangulating various methods when I can. My most recent work focuses on ideologies and power relations in the southern Netherlands (Limburg and Brabant).
